Where To Get A Good Drink In Park City

January 11, 2019

While Utah isn’t necessarily the best state for drinking, Park City is a microcosm of amazing food, skiing, and, surprisingly, drinks.

Whether you’re looking for a spot for après ski or want an itinerary for a Friday night in Park City, we have a few recommendations for great bars in town.

High West Saloon

Located right in the heart of Park City, the High West Saloon serves delicious food and even better whiskey drinks. This venue is now 21+, so be sure to keep that in mind if you’re traveling with a family. You can even ski right into the Saloon, making it a hot spot for après ski.

The Saloon can tend to get crowded as well and they don’t take reservations, so get there early and be prepared to wait before sipping on an out-of-this-world Old Fashioned.

If the Saloon is too busy and you have access to a car, you could also make the short trek to Wanship to visit the High West Distillery. Dive into an Elk Burger and sip on award-winning whiskey. It’s a great combination.

The Eating Establishment

If you want a beer list as long as Homerun, look no further than The Eating Establishment. For a laid-back ski town vibe, this place is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. The Eating Establishment is also relatively affordable, and they have breakfast served all day in addition to separate lunch and dinner menus.

Cognition Winery & Bistro

Feeling wine instead of beer or boozy cocktails? Cognition Winery & Bistro has an extensive wine list, including house wines that are aged locally in Park City. Taste the difference that high-elevation aging makes to a fine wine.

O’Shucks
As the name suggests, O’Shucks isn’t your fine dining establishment in town — it’s your classic ski bum bar with cold beer, bowls of peanuts, and live music. Surprisingly, O’Shucks also has a delicious selection of Japanese tapas and sushi. If you want a laid-back vibe with unique bar food, O’Shucks is the place to be.

There’s no shortage of great drinks and food in Park City, so be sure to check out these bars and keep an eye out for the new venues that are cropping up throughout the city.
