All About Spring Grüv In Park City

February 14, 2019

For the last 12 years, Park City has held the Spring Grüv festival in late March through early April. Spring Grüv is so much more than a concert event or pond skimming content — it’s a full-on tradition that lasts 16 days.

This year, Spring Grüv will take place from Saturday, March 23 through Sunday, April 7. If you’re in Park City or planning a trip to the area for these dates, check out these can’t-miss Spring Grüv events!

1. Spring Concert Series

Every Saturday and Sunday during Spring Grüv, Park City comes alive with jam bands, country crooners, bluegrass acts, and much more. Finish your day on the slopes and ski right down to the Canyons Village Stage to enjoy the live performances and a great après ski scene.

Music starts around 3:00 p.m. and usually goes until 5:00 p.m. on dedicated Spring Concert Series days.

2. Pink Park City

On Saturday, March 23, Spring Grüv events kick off with Pink Park City, an ski day dedicated to help conquer breast cancer. Get your best pink ski attire ready, as the whole town comes together for this pink-themed event.

There are various booths set up along the mountain and at the different base areas.

3. 23rd Annual Pond Skimming Competition

It’s not a spring skiing festival without a Pond Skimming competition! At Park City, the competition will begin at noon on April 6. Spectator entry is free and daring potential pond skimmers can register for the event on March 1.

Watch as amateurs and seasoned pond skimmers alike float, sink, belly flop, and splash around the frigid water. It’s a great time to be at Park City, and the event is sure to be entertaining.

4. Avalanche Dog Meet And Greets

Park City Ski Patrol is available most Saturday mornings for an avalanche dog meet and greet. See the pups in person and learn more about their incredible training, routine, and sense of smell!

There’s no better time than the spring to visit Park City! Look out for Spring Grüv events going on at both the Park City and Canyons base areas.
